Dr. Stacey Silvers meets Colton McClure. Colton was able to run a cyclic mapping test to determine his sensitivity to peanuts, and not just that he had a peanut allergy.

A new allergy test can show you’re allergic to peanuts

As a young kid, Colton McClure never wanted to eat peanut butter. “He always pushed her away,” said his mother, Sherry McClure.

Then when he was a preschooler, Colton ate a cup of Reese’s Peanut Butter and it was good. After a second, he vomited. “Something is not right,” McClure said.

Allergy skin prick testing resulted in a reaction to peanuts, tree nuts and shellfish.

Al McClure, who lives in Austin, immediately changed what they had done. They will not go to restaurants for fear of cross-contamination. They looked at shampoo and soap to make sure I wasn’t allergic to Colton. They looked at processed foods for all allergens and avoided them. They even called the companies to ask about their protocols in their factories.
