Bad Bunny tops primetime shows and events in the Las Vegas Valley

bad bunny

Of all the stars to top the Allegiant Stadium — Garth Brooks, Billy Joel, Metallica, and the Rolling Stones among them — Bad Bunny is only the second player to play multiple dates at a mega venue, after BTS held four shows there in April. What is the size of the main engine of the Puerto Rican reggaeton? Currently, Bad Bunny is the most listened-to actor in the world, and is the first ever Latin artist to lead Spotify in annual streams in 2020 and 2021. The language album reached #1 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart when it dropped in November 2020. Repeating that feat in May with the release of his latest record, “Un Verano sin Ti,” he made a very nice appearance on Brad Pitt’s “Bullet Train” this summer. Finally, it was too good to be bad the past few years. Watch it at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Allegiant Stadium; Ticketmaster.com.

The iHeartRadio Music Festival, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, packs the T-Mobile Arena with a roster of superstars including Halsey, Lionel Richie, LL Cool J, Maren Morris, Megan Thee Stallion, Pitbull, Nicki Minaj, The Black Keys. iHeart-ing even extends to the outdoor daytime stage at Area15, which will host Avril Lavigne, Maggie Rogers, 5 Seconds of Summer, and more at 11 a.m. Saturday. Tickets start at $86.75 at the T-Mobile Arena, and $75 at Area15; axs.com.

Celtic punk band Flogging Molly announced “These Times Made Me Drink” in a song at the start of their new record, titled “Anthem”. It may be so, but one of the central goals of this band is to chase those blues away from the adrenaline of traditional Irish music that tends to lift spirits and glasses full of spirits simultaneously. Watch Flogging Molly at 8:45 p.m. Sunday at Mandalay Bay Beach. tickets $42.16; Ticketmaster.com.
